Find Your Next Study Away Experience
There are multiple resources available across the University to help you find your next study away and study abroad experience. Here are a few online options that you can use to browse experiences or search for something tailored to your major, interests or desired destination.
Experience OHIO is a searchable tool that showcases many of the ways the Bobcats like you are getting involved, gaining hands-on experience and exploring new places. Experience OHIO shares many of the opportunities available to OHIO students, including on- and off- campus involvement, internships, study away and abroad experiences and more.
Search For Your Next Experience
The Experience OHIO website offers multiple ways to search for experiences that fit your interests and goals:
- Search Box – Type in keywords that related to the type of experience you would like to find.
- College Affiliation – Click the down arrow to view all of OHIO's colleges. Click the box by your college to find experiences that align with your academic interests.
- Industry Focus – Click the down arrow to view all industry options and select any that interest you to find matching experiences.
- Experience Type – Click the down arrow to see all experience types, including: community engagement, creative activity, internship, leadership, research and study abroad & away.
- Eligible Class Years – Some experiences are only open to students in specific class years. You can click the down arrow to filter options available to first year, second year, third year or fourth year students.
The Office of Global Opportunities (OGO) is a great resource if you are interested in participating in a study away or study abroad experience. Aside from sharing many study away and abroad opportunities available to OHIO students, OGO provides resources and information to help you plan your experience, explore costs and scholarships, and learn about health and safety.

The OGO Browse Programs webpage offers multiple ways to search for study away and abroad opportunities:
- Search Box – Type in the program name or keywords related to the type of study abroad opportunity you would like to find.
- Program Type – Click the down arrow to view program types and make your selection(s).
- Term – Click the down arrow to view terms and select the term(s) in which you would like to participate in a study abroad experience.
- Academic Focus – Click the down arrow to view all academic focus areas. You can select as many focus areas as you would like. This is a great way to find opportunities that align with your major or academic goals.
- Program Feature – Click the down arrow to view program features such as field work, gen ed, Gilman eligible, internship, language immersion, research, service learning and teach.
- Region / Country – Click the down arrow to view and select any countries to which you may like to travel.
- Sort by (upper right) – In the drop-down, you can sort your opportunities by "Country: A to Z" or "Application Deadline". Selecting application deadline sorts your selections by upcoming deadlines to later deadlines.
