Peace is a second-year PhD student in the School of Communication Studies at Ohio University, specializing in the interpersonal and organizational communication track. Her research focuses on family communication, with particular attention to motherhood, caregiving, and work-life balance in organizational contexts.
 
Peace holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the National Open University of Nigeria. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked as a communications specialist at African Independent Television, one of Nigeria’s leading media outlets.
 
At Ohio University, Peace is actively engaged in student support, leadership, and professional service. She serves as a Peer Advisor and Arrival Coordinator with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), where she supports incoming and current international students in their transition and adjustment. She is also the Communication and Publicity Secretary for the African Student Union (ASU), where she leads strategic communication and outreach efforts. In addition, she serves as a Social Media Strategist for the Interpersonal Communication Division of the National Communication Association (NCA), contributing to the division’s digital presence and engagement.
