Research: Health Communication
Rizvan Saeed (Master of Social Research Advanced, Australian National University; M.Sc Anthropology, Quaid i Azam University) is a social science researcher and development consultant. He has a decade long experience of conducting trainings and research on communication skills, emotional health, gender-responsive policing, countering violent extremism and masculinities. During his Master of Social Research, he studied development of social capital and Twitter use in Pakistan. He is deeply interested in big data. He uses Social Network Analysis to study structures of social networks and flow of information within networks. For his PhD, he is going to pursue specialization in Health Communications. He plans to study how cultural perceptions of and stereotypes about health and treatment contribute to spread of mis/information.
