Spring Literary Festival celebrates 40 years with award-winning authors

The festival will take place March 25–26, bringing authors George Bilgere, Hala Alyan, and Jeff VanderMeer to OHIO. Through lectures, readings and conversations, the festival offers students and community members the opportunity to engage directly with these writers.

High school students invited to apply for alumni-supported Summer Law & Trial Institute

High school students interested in exploring the legal field are invited to apply for the Summer Law & Trial Institute (SLTI), a free, alumni-supported program hosted by Ohio University’s Center for Law, Justice & Culture. The competitive two‑week institute will take place June 28–July 10, 2026, combining virtual instruction with an immersive, on‑campus residency.

Leaving a mark

At Seigfred Hall, a construction zone briefly became a canvas. During the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts’ “Make Your Mark” event, students, faculty and alumni were invited to draw directly onto the walls. The drawings continue a long tradition of student involvement in the hall’s design while introducing a new era.
