Ohio University just got its own pickleball courts and golf simulators

What started as a summer resurfacing project at Ohio University's Golf and Tennis Center turned into something bigger.

When the doors reopen in August, members will find two new additions: dedicated indoor pickleball courts and golf simulators.

Well-Being and Recreation is celebrating with a Grand Opening on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event is open to members and the campus community.

Pickleball, purpose-built

The renovated indoor space now includes two tennis courts and four dedicated pickleball courts, giving both sports a permanent year-round home. The pickleball courts are believed to be among the only dedicated indoor pickleball facilities in the Athens area. They open Monday, Aug. 10.

Open play hours, programming, and reservations will be available at ohio.edu/recreation/tennis

Golf without the weather

Ohio weather is not always cooperative. The new simulators solve that. Members can play world-class courses, practice their swings, or try golf for the first time any time of year, right on campus.

Reserve simulator time and find pricing details at ohio.edu/recreation/golf ahead of Aug. 27.
