Patton College of Education to host Scholastic Book Fair Feb. 5-8

The Patton College of Education’s Stevens Center for Literacy and STEM Education will host a Scholastic Book Fair from Feb. 5–8 in Patton Hall, offering books for all ages with proceeds supporting local schools and teacher candidates.

The Patton College of Education’s Stevens Center for Literacy and STEM Education will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from Feb. 5-8 in the lobby of Patton Hall on Ohio University’s Athens campus.

The Scholastic Book Fair is run by Stevens Center Literacy Ambassadors and Kappa Delta Pi Teacher Education Honor Society for Educators members and is open to faculty, staff, students, and the community! There will be books for all ages available for purchase and all purchases support schools in our area as well as our teacher candidates. The Book Fair accepts cash, credit cards, and checks made payable to Stevens Center.

“The Scholastic Book Fair helps us bring the joy of reading to our campus and community,” said Julie Barnhart Francis, director of the Stevens Center for Literacy and STEM Education. “Whether you’re reliving the magic of your childhood or building a future classroom library, our book fair offers a nostalgic experience filled with popular titles, diverse stories, and affordable gifts. Whether you’re bringing a sibling for the nostalgia or picking up a Valentine’s treat, there is something for every educator and book lover to enjoy.”

Scholastic Book Fair Dates and Times

  • Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Feb. 7 from Noon - 3 p.m.
  • Feb. 8 from Noon - 3 p.m.
