Federal Hocking Local School District

The Federal Hocking Local School district currently has three afterschool sites located at Amesville Elementary School, Coolville Elementary School, and Federal Hocking Secondary School. These sites, funded through two Nina M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants awarded by the Ohio Department of Education, serve all students in the district. Students receive a snack and a bit of free time directly after school to transition into the program. They then receive assistance in homework, intervention in reading and math, hands on enrichment activities, and coaching in college and career opportunities available to them. This program offers wrap-around services letting student leave for a practice, like baseball, and return to program after.
