Prepare videos for Canvas

The OID Team recommends adding all of your course videos to Panopto. This allows for an easier transition as well as providing a more accessible experience for students. 

1. Find the course you are planning to move to Canvas
2. Select the videos you would like to use in your Canvas course.
   • Download the videos from blackboard, or
   • Find the original video files on your computer.
3. Provision your course for canvas.  This will create a folder within Panopto for your videos.

4. Add all course videos to your Panopto folder.

5. Add auto captions to all videos and double check the accuracy.

6. Share your Panopto folder with yourself and update permissions. This will allow you to continue to have access to your videos in Canvas when we are no longer using Blackboard.
