As a Mechanical Engineering major, you’ll apply math, physics and chemistry to the design of mechanical components and systems through classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory work, and project design.
Accelerated Graduate Pathway: Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers an Accelerated Graduate Pathway (AGP), through which students can combine both undergraduate and graduate degree programs to earn their degrees more quickly.
The Accelerated Graduate Pathway: Mechanical Engineering program provides outstanding students the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in mechanical engineering while completing some courses toward a Master of Science in mechanical engineering.

Mechanical Engineering Master's Degree
If you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding career that will allow you to create an impact that lasts a lifetime, OHIO’s Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering is right for you.
How It Works
Through the Mechanical Engineering AGP, undergraduate students can earn up to 16 graduate credits while completing their undergraduate study. Of these credits, 9 will count toward their undergraduate degree and the non-thesis Master of Science in mechanical engineering degree simultaneously, allowing students to finish both degrees in five years (four years of undergraduate studies and one year of graduate study).
