Tuition

Nursing courses and other required online courses for which students in the online RN to BSN program may exclusively enroll are offered at a tuition rate of:

  • $240 per credit hour for Ohio residents (rate is a combination of the instructional and the general fees)
  • $243 per credit hour for non-Ohio residents (rate is a combination of the instructional, the general and the nonresident fees)

Additional courses also may be taken at Ohio University for credit in this program. The tuition rate may differ from the rates stated above. Students should check with their School of Nursing advisor before registering for classes that are not listed on the RN to BSN course offerings page, which is made available each term on the RN to BSN Knowledge Center website.

Many general courses needed to earn a BSN were completed during your associate degree or diploma nursing education and will transfer to Ohio University to apply to the hours required to earn a bachelor's degree. However, if you still need additional support and general education course credit to meet requirements, you can earn those credits in three ways:

  • Complete courses at Ohio University:
    • Through traditional face-to-face courses at an Ohio University campus
    • Online
  • Complete courses at another college and transfer credit to Ohio University

Student Account and Payment

Students can access their student account information on the My OHIO Student Center via the My OHIO Portal ( my.ohio.edu ). Students can view real time account activity, enroll in Direct Deposit, enroll in Payment Plan, view 1098-T information, and make payments.

Balances not paid by the due date may be assessed a late payment fee. A financial hold also may be placed on the account, which may restrict access to registration, grades, diplomas, and transcripts.

Visit the Office of the Bursar's website for  more information about student accounts.

Payment Plan

Ohio University offers a payment plan, which will split the balance of the current semester into installments. The plan requires that interested students sign up each semester, and there is an enrollment fee required. To receive the full benefit of the payment plan, we advise students to enroll in all classes at the beginning of the term.

Visit the Office of the Bursar's website for more information about the payment plan.

All prices are subject to change.
A late fee will apply to tuition invoices not paid by due date.
There may be additional costs, such as textbook costs, that are not billed by the university.
