Real Estate Pre-licensure Certificate

Real Estate Pre-licensure Certificate (CTX53U)

Ohio University offers affordable real estate courses that help prepare students for careers in property management, appraising, home inspection and commercial real estate. Successful completion of five courses in the Real Estate Pre-licensure Certificate, including required hours, fulfills the educational requirements to sit for the Ohio State Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam (visit the Ohio Department of Commerce site for more details).

OHIO's real estate classes, taught by experienced professionals, provide practical skills that will prepare you to enter and excel in the real estate profession. Real estate courses can also complement a traditional undergraduate degree program in fields such as business or interior architecture.

In addition to the core real estate courses, students select a course from several options in the certificate that are of benefit to real estate careers and those students who intend to become a real estate broker in Ohio. The selected additional course will expand student knowledge in the areas of sales, persuasive communications, economics, corporate finance or workplace collaboration.
