Why do you want to be an OHIO First Scholars Advocate?
As a first-generation college student, I had so many questions, but I didn't know who I could turn to at my university for guidance, and because of that there were resources and opportunities that I was not aware of until years later. I want to be an OHIO First Scholars Advocate because I never want any student to feel the helplessness and confusion that I felt as an undergrad, or to miss out on any of the wonderful opportunities that Ohio University has to offer. I want first generation students to feel confident, knowing they have someone in their corner whom they can go to for guidance, support, and encouragement.
