Ohio University’s Homecoming Week 2021 will take place Oct. 4 through 9 and will feature both in-person and virtual events.
The Ohio University Alumni Association is excited to announce that the University will host Homecoming 2021 the week of October 4-9.
The AECOM Center for Sports Administration is partnering with Riddle & Bloom to host a virtual 5K event for Homecoming, giving alumni the opportunity to participate anytime from Oct. 5 to 31.
“Mapping OHIO Memories” and the “History of Student Expression” will premiere Oct. 5, and a live Q&A will be held Oct. 8.
Make history with Bobcats near and far
Homecoming at Ohio University can be traced at least as far back as November 1919 when the student-published Green and White newspaper noted that the University football team was preparing for a “Home Coming” game. The last game of the University’s 1919 season carried the alumni slogan “Beat Denison,” in reference to the team’s scheduled opponent.
Ohio University's 2019 Homecoming Week, Oct. 7-12, carried the theme “1804 and So Much More,” which commemorated the 215-year legacy of Ohio’s first and finest university.
OHIO’s annual homecoming display will be on the fourth floor of Alden Library from noon Tuesday, Oct. 8, through 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.
Homecoming Week 2019 will include the 17th annual Paint the Town Green decorating contest that challenges local business and organizations as well as OHIO offices.
Ohio University’s Homecoming planning committee is seeking nominations and applications for this year’s Homecoming Court. Ten graduating seniors will be selected to represent the Class of 2020.
