Call for faculty-led global program proposals now open
Ohio University's Office of Global Opportunities (OGO) has launched an updated proposal review process for OHIO-credit study abroad and away programs designed to support transparent, consistent and collaborative portfolio development across the University.
The revised process aligns program development with University strategy, college priorities, student needs, experiential learning goals and long-term portfolio sustainability. College leadership and OGO will work together to review both new and continuing program proposals using a common evaluation framework and workload assessment process.
Faculty and staff interested in running a study abroad or away program during the 2027-2028 academic year should begin their planning now. College leadership and OGO will evaluate submitted proposals for academic value, student impact, program feasibility and alignment with institutional priorities.
Interested faculty and staff are encouraged to review the proposal materials early and consult with their department chair, dean's office or designated college representative during the planning process.
