OHIO faculty invited to register for Ramp Up to Instruction sessions

Before each fall semester, Ramp Up to Instruction offers Ohio University faculty dedicated time to enhance upcoming courses.

Faculty can choose from 15 focused, a la carte sessions designed to fit their schedules, as well as their pedagogical needs and interests.

The structure of the Ramp Up program reflects a goal for the Center for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CTLA) for this year: Assisting faculty in finding teaching efficiencies. Each 30-minute workshop includes 15 minutes of strategically targeted professional development followed by time for questions and hands-on practice.

The Fall 2026 Ramp Up sessions will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 18, 19 and 20. The program features sessions on AI (course policies, crafting AI-resistance assignments and supporting student engagement with AI); practical, scalable strategies in large-enrollment courses; and accessibility. A session on Documenting Teaching Excellence will bring Ramp Up to a close.

All session descriptions and links for registration are available on the CTLA Ramp Up to Instruction website. Faculty should sign up for the sessions they plan to attend; all sessions are delivered via the same Teams link.
