Get OHIOReady to build your business continuity plan
Ohio University has completed the upgrade of its Business Continuity Planning (BCP) platform. The enhanced system provides planning units with improved tools to document business continuity plans, maintain critical operational information and support the University's ability to continue essential operations during disruptions.
To help planning units get started, virtual training workshops led by a representative from Kuali, our technology partner for BCP, are upcoming.
Upcoming training opportunity
Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m.
Participants will learn how to navigate the platform to create and maintain business continuity plans.
A second live workshop will be offered in October, with the date and registration details to be announced in September.
Both training sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing. While recordings provide a convenient reference, attending a live session is encouraged to allow questions and discussion related to your unit’s specific continuity planning needs.
Resources and support
A new resource, the digital walkthrough, “OHIO Business Continuity Planning: A Practical Approach,” is available to help you and your team think through the business continuity planning process before developing a new plan or updating an existing one.
Rather than serving as formal training, it highlights key questions and considerations to guide your discussions and planning. Additional guidance, reference materials and planning resources are available on the Business Continuity Planning website.
The OhioReady project is led by the Office of Audit, Risk and Compliance. Questions about business continuity planning may be directed to Campus Compliance and Clery Act Coordinator Mike Trout at bcp@ohio.edu.
