Jason Eubanks is the CEO and co-founder of Aurasell. His company is an AI-native Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. It was built to replace legacy systems that have been around for decades. Now, Eubanks is bringing his technology back to his alma mater by partnering with the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre at OHIO.

Eubanks grew up in the middle of rural Ohio. He originally enrolled as an engineering major, but his path shifted after he discovered an interest in business and technology.

When Eubanks was enrolled in the Integrated Business Cluster (a series of classes all COB students take their sophomore year), he shadowed a consultant working on tech infrastructure. Eubanks was immediately drawn to the diversity of the work and the technical side of the business.

“I didn't imagine going into tech originally. And I think it's because of that experience while I was at OU that I ended up in MIS,” Eubanks says. He has now worked in the tech industry for over 20 years.

A true platform shift

Eubanks wants to help students understand that the sales industry is changing. He says most CRM providers were originally just databases to hold contact information. He believes Aurasell represents a major shift toward intelligent automation.

“It's a true platform shift from the time that CRMs were databases to hold contact information for customers to really becoming more of a contextualized intelligent automation platform,” Eubanks explains.

The platform is designed to consolidate different tools and surface insights for sellers. Eubanks says this technology can double productivity for a user. He believes it is in the best interest of young professionals to adopt these AI-native tools early.

Currently, a small team of students working for the Schey is using Aurasell to reach out to alumni and raise money for the program. The long-term goal is to integrate the platform directly into the curriculum. This would allow 800 students a year to have hands-on experience with modern tools. He wants students to graduate as "change agents" who are prepared for the future of the industry.

Through partnerships with innovative alumni like Eubanks, the Schey Sales Centre ensures its students stay ahead of the curve in a competitive job market.

Advice for success

Eubanks believes the job landscape will change dramatically because of AI. He encourages students to find something they care about and become experts in how AI will change that field.

While students can learn products and business principles, Eubanks maintains that some things cannot be taught in a classroom.

“You can teach a new grad anything,” Eubanks says. “But you cannot teach them work ethic. You cannot teach them character.”

Eubanks is a passionate Bobcat. He is even an OHIO parent, as his 18-year-old son was recently admitted to the University. He is proud to help provide the next generation with the tools they need to succeed.

“I think it would be great to think that every OU student who goes through the Schey program comes out of there with the latest and greatest AI skills.”
