OHIO community invited to retirement reception for Wendy Merb-Brown
The Ohio University community is invited to retirement reception for Wendy Merb-Brown on March 31.
Merb-Brown, the chief financial administrative officer and senior assistant dean for OHIO’s University College, will retire on March 31, 2026, after being a part of OHIO for 34 years.
Merb-Brown started her time at Ohio University in August 1991 and transitioned to her role in the University College in 2005. For University College, she has been responsible for administrative operations and supervised the programming area. In her various roles, she has worked with every department at OHIO, leaving a strong impact on students and colleagues.
She is most proud of her work with OHIO's Learning Communities, beginning in 2001 and continuing through 2024. During her time with Ohio University Learning Communities, she helped to expand the program from 239 participants to more than 98% of the first-year class participating every fall.
As Merb-Brown excitedly starts this new chapter, she looks forward to traveling, spending time with her family and reconnecting with old friends.
The University College invites colleagues and community members to extend their best wishes for her retirement and join Merb-Brown for a send-off on Tuesday, March 31, from 3:30-5 pm in the Walter Hall Rotunda.
