Office of Information Technology announces new location for technology service desk

Ohio University’s Office of Information Technology, in partnership with University Libraries, is announcing the relocation of the information technology (IT) Service Desk.

In early July, the IT Service Desk, currently located in the Bobcat Depot, will be moved to a new home on the fourth floor of Alden Library. This move will centrally locate computing device and software support with other support services currently provided by Alden Library. The new location will also improve access and availability to IT support by consolidating multiple service locations and aligning hours and availability with student needs.

The IT Service Desk provides general IT support to the OHIO community. These services include basic troubleshooting for devices and software support, such as software needed for courses, setting up multifactor authentication, and the set-up of Microsoft 365 applications.

Additional outreach to the OHIO community, including hours of operations and available services will be communicated in the coming weeks. The Office of Information Technology is excited about providing continued support to students, faculty and staff through this partnership with University Libraries.
