Faculty international travel funding support up to $750 available through the Global Travel Fund

The University International Council (UIC) encourages eligible faculty to apply for the Global Travel Fund (GTF) to support internationalization of Ohio University on all campuses through scholarly and creative endeavors overseas.

The GTF is a resource intended to support faculty (tenure-track or instructional faculty) who are carrying out scholarly and creative activities which require in-person international travel engagement (such as conducting archival or field research overseas, paper presentation, and participating in a scholarly forum).

Approved proposals may be funded for up to $750 for any travel-related expenses (airfare, trains, car, boat, hotel/lodging, registrations, etc.) for an international engagement. Only one GTF award can be utilized per applicant over a two-year period.

“I’d like to encourage all eligible faculty to apply for the Global Travel Fund to further the mission of internationalization of Ohio University,” Dr. Vic Matta, chair of GTF and associate professor of analytics and information systems in the College of Business, said. “The team at Global Affairs is willing to assist you with the process and any questions you might have.”
