OIT seeks feedback on student response and attendance tracking tools

The Office of Information Technology is seeking student and instructor feedback on Top Hat and other student response and attendance tracking tools.

The feedback will be used to determine improvements to these tools at OHIO and inform a request for proposal (RFP) process to evaluate potential vendors.

To provide feedback, please complete the Student Response System Evaluation Survey by Friday, Feb. 17. Students and instructors are invited to provide feedback on Top Hat and similar tools they have previously used.

Top Hat is the current enterprise student response system, which allows instructors to create interactive class presentations, engage students through live polls using a mobile app, and create custom content through online textbooks and other e-learning materials. Top Hat can also be used for attendance tracking, especially in larger lecture classes.

The survey feedback will be used to identify the most common uses and key features of these tools.
