Online MBA program again rated tops in the state, among national leaders

Ohio University’s Online MBA program is ranked best in the state and has moved up five spots since last year, putting it at 34th nationally in the latest Poets&Quants rankings.

Ohio University’s ranking has improved this year, despite the addition of more ranked programs each year. The ranking is based on admissions standards, academic experience and career outcomes.

“We are honored to once again have this outstanding program recognized by Poets&Quants,” Ohio University President Hugh Sherman said. “The Online MBA program is another example of our efforts to meet today’s students where they are and allow them to pursue their education while remaining in the workforce.”

Admissions information is collected from a survey sent to schools, while academic experience and career outcomes are determined through an alumni survey.

OHIO’s nationally-ranked College of Business offers the highly recognized Online MBA program. The program offers eight concentrations to help students reach their personalized professional goals, in a way that is comprehensive of material but also flexible to the student’s schedule. Graduate students in the college also can receive career guidance and coaching from Randstad RiseSmart, thanks to its unique collaboration with Ohio University.

“The Online MBA program focuses on the professional skills, tools and guidance needed by our students to advance in their careers, and we are gratified to have that ongoing effort again recognized by Poets&Quants,” College of Business Dean Jackie Rees Ulmer said.

OHIO’s College of Business also offers a Professional MBA program, which is a blend of virtual classes and in-person residencies located on the Dublin campus, a One-Year MBA program in Athens and several other graduate business degree and certificate programs that are offered in online, hybrid and on-campus formats.

“We have worked hard to meet and exceed our students’ expectations in our Online MBA program and I firmly believe that every decision we make provides the best student-centered experience that we can offer,” said Dr. William “Bill” Young, O’Bleness associate professor and director of the Online MBA and Online Master of Business Analytics programs. “We are consistently noted for the quality of education and our value. I’m very proud of our established Online MBA and all of our students, faculty, staff and alumni that contribute to its success.”
