Fall Commencement set for Saturday, Dec. 10

Approximately 1,000 students are expected to participate in Ohio University’s Fall 2022 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 10.

The commencement ceremony, which will be for undergraduate and graduate students, will begin at 2 p.m. in the Convocation Center on Ohio University’s Athens campus. The ceremony is expected to last for approximately two hours.

Dr. Nukhet Sandal, associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences and associate professor of political science, will deliver the commencement address. A highly-respected teacher and researcher, Sandal is an expert in foreign policy, international conflicts and Middle Eastern politics. 

Doors will open for the ceremony at 12:30 p.m. No tickets are required for admission. For those who are unable to attend in person, a livestream of the ceremony will be available on the Ohio University Commencement website.

Visitors to campus may utilize parking within any dark green or purple lot on campus from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. In addition, free event shuttles will be operating from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10.
