Workshop to focus on co-creating equitable, inclusive campus environments at Ohio University

Ohio University staff members are invited to an upcoming workshop on co-creating equitable, inclusive campus environments.

The workshop, which will be held on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., will be led by Dr. Kathy Obear from The Center for Transformation and Change. The event is targeted to staff members who work directly with students but is open to all staff members.

This event is part of a series of related trainings that will be held in August. The Inclusive Pedagogy Workshop for faculty will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16, and a training session for executive leadership will be held on Aug. 10. All of the events are being coordinated by the Division of Diversity and Inclusion.

The Aug. 11 training session will focus on providing participants with opportunities to explore their individual social identities and their relationship to power and privilege, expand understanding of bias (implicit and explicit), and identify ways to engage respectfully across differences and strategies for interrupting/intervening when they witness bias behaviors occurring.

To sign up for the workshop, complete this registration form.
