Keeping Bobcats Informed, April 27, 2022

Bobcat Parents & Families,

I feel incredibly proud. This weekend, we will watch our seniors walk across the stage at commencement — a moment they have worked so hard to achieve. This year's graduating class has been exceptional representatives of the OHIO community for their dedication to leadership, community service, and overall academic achievement.

It has been my pleasure to watch these students grow and learn and I can't wait to see what these impressive Bobcats do out in the world.

With Bobcat pride,

Kathy A Fahl, MSW

Dean of Students

Moving?

Recycle and reuse, don’t dump

The choices we make during move-out will make a big difference in the lives of others in Southeast Ohio. Sealed food, gently-used clothes, household items, school supplies, and even furniture and carpets can be given to those in need.

For a complete list of acceptable items and drop off locations visit ohio.edu/recycle.

Support for mental health awareness

The Bandana Project, a mental health awareness and suicide prevention initiative, has come to OHIO this week. Keep an eye out for students and staff showing their support for mental health awareness by carrying or wearing a lime green bandana. Participants will have info and can connect Bobcats with resources.

OIT TECH TIPS

Detect malicious messages

As you check your email, pay close attention to the addresses sending you messages. Even if an email looks like it was sent from your manager or instructor it may still be a spoofing attempt. Check to ensure messages aren't sent from a variation of an OHIO email (e.g., @ohio-edu.org instead of @ohio.edu). Review these tips for identifying malicious email
