OIT announces updates to Survey Technologies Evaluation Project

The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce that Qualtrics will continue as one of Ohio University’s preferred survey tools after a review of survey technology vendors, with input from stakeholders across the OHIO community.

Qualtrics is a robust platform useful for a variety of information gathering and research functions. The OIT Surveys Service initiated the Survey Technologies Evaluation Project in spring 2021 to evaluate technologies for surveys, including an RFP process that kicked off in summer 2021.

The next phase of the survey evaluation will cover course evaluations, including the current course evaluation tool, Class Climate. OIT is forming a review group of stakeholders to assess the course evaluation component of the original RFP. Only original respondents to the 2021 survey technologies RFP will be considered during the evaluation period, which will run during spring semester 2022.

To learn more about this process or to provide additional feedback, consider joining the Surveys Advisory Community. The group meets quarterly to discuss topics and trends related to surveys and to influence the future of surveys at OHIO. All faculty, staff and students are welcome to join.

If you need additional support or have specific questions about survey technologies, please contact the IT Service Desk.
