Nominations for dean of University College accepted through Nov. 30

The search committee, on behalf of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost with support from University Human Resources, seeks nominations of tenured faculty at OHIO for the role of dean of University College. The search is open to internal candidates in recognition of the institutional knowledge critical to the role.

The dean of University College serves as a member of the Provost’s senior staff and Deans’ Council and leads University-wide student support offices housed in the college. The dean also will play a vital role in leading faculty members in the effort to expand academic programs offered by the college, including those that have recently been realigned from the regional campuses as part of the One OHIO initiative.

In reflecting on her time as dean, Provost Elizabeth Sayrs noted the deep commitment to student success reflected in the faculty and staff of University College.

Nominations and self-nominations will be accepted through Nov. 30, 2021, and may be submitted via the online nomination form. The committee plans to begin evaluation of candidates at the end of the semester with final interviews tentatively scheduled for late January.
