OHIO staff can get COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday

Ohio University staff can get a free COVID-19 vaccine at a walk-in clinic on campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 2.

No appointment is necessary. The clinic will be held at OHIO’s Vault Testing Center, in the University’s Golf and Tennis Center (the “bubble” next to the Ping Recreation Center).

Both Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccines and Pfizer two-dose vaccines will be available. Those choosing Pfizer will need to get their second doses approximately 21 days later.

Free parking is available. There is no cost for the vaccines, but please bring your insurance card if you have one.

Ohio University is encouraging all employees to be vaccinated if they are able, though it is not required. Those who are vaccinated against COVID-19 and who access campus are eligible to participate in asymptomatic COVID-19 testing less frequently than those who are not vaccinated, by selecting the Vaccination Pathway in OHIO’s COVID-19 Testing Pathway Program.
