Accelerated Graduate Pathway: Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Accelerated Graduate Pathway: Electrical and Computer Engineering program provides outstanding students the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering while completing some courses toward a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.

How It Works

The Accelerated Graduate Pathway (AGP) program is intended to allow students to take courses toward a graduate degree while enrolled as an undergraduate student. As such, students are expected to pursue graduate coursework upon completion of their undergraduate degree.

Students may complete up to 9 hours of graduate-level coursework under the AGP, with up to nine hours applying to the undergraduate degree requirements.

Start with a Bachelor's Degree

  •

Electrical Engineering Major with Computer Engineering Track

This pathways allows qualified students to obtain an Electrical Engineering Major with Computer Engineering Track bachelor's degree while completing up to nine hours toward an Electrical Engineering master's degree.

Finish with a Master's Degree

  • Electrical Engineering Master of Science

The program prepares students for doctoral study or industry positions at the interface of biology and engineering. Graduates are poised to become leaders in biomedical engineering and contribute to improving the human condition.

Admissions Information

Students will be eligible to apply for conditional admission to the AGP after completing 68.5 credit hours of courses in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science curriculum; conditionally admitted students will be eligible to enroll in courses after completing 83.5 credit hours in the EECS curriculum.

Application is limited to students who:

  1. Are enrolled in the Electrical Engineering Major with Computer Engineering Track (B.S.).
  2. Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher or a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 with a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the most recent 30 hours.
  3. Achieve a grade of ā€˜C’ or better in the following required junior-level Computer Engineering courses: CS 3000, CS 3610, EE 3954, EE 3613, EE 3334, EE 3343, EE 3713, EE 3753, EE 3513, EE 3214.*
