Application Process

AN UPDATE ON OHIO's DPT ADMISSIONS PROCESS IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 FOR THE UPCOMING 2021-2022 APPLICATION CYCLE:

We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for our applicants in many ways. As such, OHIO DPT program has made the following amendments to the 2021-2022 application requirements:

  • Online (virtual) and/or distance learning lab courses will be accepted for pre-requisite courses that require a laboratory component
  • Applicants will not be required to complete observation hours.
  • We are only requiring one letter of recommendation for this application cycle.
  • While OHIO strongly encourages students to accept a letter grade for courses during the Spring 2020 term, we understand that this may not be an option for some applicants. As such, OHIO will accept all Satisfactory or Passing scores for prerequisites during Spring 2020 term only.
  • Official transcripts should be obtained when possible, however OHIO will accept unofficial transcripts until such a time as official transcripts can be obtained.

As these changes are in response to the difficulties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, they are only applicable to the 2021-2022 application cycle. OHIO will continue to assess our admissions process in response to this unprecedented situation.

We hope that you are able to stay healthy and safe.
