Aaron Sturgill (he/him) is the Executive Director, Career Readiness for the Center for Advising, Career and Experiential Learning. He supports students through one-on-one career coaching, career engagement events, and career courses.
Aaron has spent the last eight years at Ohio University working in career services, formerly in the Career and Leadership Development Center, providing career support for students and alumni, developing recruiting strategies for employers, and creating best practices for career services practitioners. Before working in higher education, he worked in the hospitality and retail industries in management and recruiting.
Aaron is a proud Appalachian. He attended the University of Rio Grande, where he studied Biology and Chemistry. He then continued his education at Ohio University, where he earned a master's degree in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising. Aaron resides in Oak Hill, Ohio, with his wife Kayla, daughter Jordan, and dog Bailey. He coaches classes at a strength and conditioning gym in his free time, and he loves to create fiber art.
