Division Committees and Task Forces are formed to increase collaboration and communication among the departments within the Division of Student Affairs. In addition, each committee is charged with soliciting faculty and student input into their work. Many Division Teams or Task Forces are related to the current academic years' focus goals. All Division staff members are strongly encouraged to become involved on a divisional committee. If you are interested in joining a committee, or have questions about the work of a committee, please feel free to contact the chair of the committee directly.
Strategic Planning
Dr. Doug Franklin, Chair
This is a relatively small, core group of divisional staff who will be aiding in the organization and operation of our priorities over the course of the next year. The goal of this committee will be to present a finalized plan during spring quarter that our division will begin working under for the 2012-13 academic year.
Marketing
Mr. Josh Bodnar and Mr. Chad Barnhardt, Co-Chairs
The Marketing Committee will continue to maintain the division resource guide and work closely with the University Communications and Marketing to enhance our marketing efforts both internally and externally.
Professional Development
Mr. Ardy Gonyer, Chair
This committee has been asked to explore and lead the effort to provide professional development opportunities for division staff. This will be an important initiative again this year given university budget restrictions that will prevent traditional professional development opportunities that require travel. This committee is also charged with developing the annual conference-style division meeting.
Wellness
Ms. Theresa Graves and Mr. Joe Wakeley, Co-Chairs
The Wellness Committee will continue to explore and host initiatives that will contribute to the well being and healthy lifestyle of divisional staff and to provide appropriate opportunities for celebration and recognition of key milestones (e.g. service anniversaries, etc).
Development
Ms. Cady Allgood and Mr. Dusty Kilgour, Co-Chairs
The Development Committee will aid the Director of Development in annual fundraising and programming initiatives, including planning the Bobcat Classic Golf Scramble, reviewing proposals for use of foundation resources, and working to enhance the fundraising efforts of the Division's campaign priorities.
