Risk Management and Safety combines the dedicated technical and professional staff in the departments of Emergency Programs, Environmental Health & Safety, Laboratory & Radiation Safety, and Risk Management & Insurance.
Our mission is to assure, as much as possible, the protection of the University’s assets from unnecessary harm or unwanted risk to ensure Ohio can pursue and achieve its vision and goals.
Achieving this mission requires broad cooperative effort with all University stakeholders.
Challenges arise because people perceive or assess risks in different ways at different times. Everyone must always realize that risk management and safety are responsibilities we all share.
For these reasons, Risk Management and Safety maintains its focus on issues of fact, creates constructive relationships, continuously undertakes improvement initiatives, and leads by example. This is our commitment.
We are your internal consultant in all matters of Risk Management and Safety, and as such, we look forward to serving your Risk Management and Safety needs.
