Managerial Essentials

The Managerial Essentials Program will examine leadership from an operational perspective, while enhancing managerial skills. Managerial Essentials sessions will target one major management issue per session, and are intended to deliver practical, "nuts and bolts" information that better prepares managers to be effective and efficient. Sessions will be three-and-a-half hours in duration to include interactive segments and theoretical discussions and applications.

The program will consist of a cohort of 12-24 individuals who will progress through the program together examining managerial issues they currently face, or anticipate facing in the future. The twelve program sessions will be presented by subject matter experts from the university community. Participants will meet colleagues from OU, Hocking College, City of Athens, Athens County, and non-profit organizations.  This is an opportunity to network and gain new perspectives while learning from each other.

Completion of the program will earn a Managerial Essentials Certificate of Completion. A small number of seats will be held in each session for individuals who cannot commit to the program, but want to attend particular sessions.  Click here to view the Managerial Essentials Calendar.pdf
