Purpose

The Master of Financial Economics (MFE) program in Pickerington is designed for working professionals who desire to advance in financial services.

The master of financial economics program in Pickerington is designed for professionals in financial services who desire to advance in the industry. The content of the Financial Economics emphasizes insight into the links between the economy and financial markets, while preparing students for the tremendous challenges of the future. This applied program provides both theoretical foundations and practical experience. The Ohio University’s Master of Financial Economics has recently been endorsed by CFA Institute for incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of knowledge (COBK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standard Practices within the program. The MFE Program positions students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential worldwide.

This weekend program meets on Saturdays at Ohio University-Pickerington Center. Classes are from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm and are staffed by faculty from the Athens campus. Students can also watch the lecture live online. The lectures are also archived to be watched later.  A new cohort starts each January.
