Graduate Program: Applied Economics

1. Admissions Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Basic knowledge of Statistics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Calculus, and Computer (Windows, a word processor, spreadsheet, etc.).
  • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above on a scale of 4.0 is required
  • An official copy of all college/university transcripts including one showing a baccalaureate from an accredited college or university
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • An application completed online
  • Personal statement outlining the career objectives of the candidate
  • Result of TOEFL for international students
  • Results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) are required but exceptions can be made based on academic record. For information about these exams call (740)597-1537 or visit www.ohiou.edu/etc.

2. Submitting Application

Application is available online. You can get the application form at the following web location: http://www.ohio.edu/graduate/apply.cfm

The application deadline for entering the program is February 15. The program begins in June.
