Undergraduate Course Requirements
As a civil engineering student, you are responsible for making certain that degree requirements are met, courses are taken in proper sequence, and prerequisites are satisfied. Details on prerequisites and sequences are available in the Ohio University Undergraduate Catalog. Please read especially the parts entitled "Guidelines and General Information," "The Russ College of Engineering and Technology," and "Courses of Instruction."
Advising - Your advisor is here to help you. Prepare your class schedules for registration carefully, and then discuss your plans with your advisor when you pick up your DARS Report. You may also discuss questions or concerns about required courses with the Assistant Chair of the Civil Engineering Department.
Required Courses - Civil engineering majors must complete all the required courses and a collection of the technical elective courses. Due to the upcoming change from Quarters to Semesters all students are strongly encouraged to seek assistance from their faculty adviser when choosing classes. The following flowcharts are intended as a guideline.
