Why do you want to be an OHIO First Scholars Advocate?
I am a First Generation Scholar. I had a supportive family but they had no reference to what college life, study, and academic systems were and how to navigate them. My first quarter was almost my last when I was placed with an advisor who was not interested in advising or helping me understand the university, college or department. I hope to offer a voice and general guidance to those who are first-generation college students.
