Why I want to be an OHIO First Scholars Advocate: Being a first-gen college student myself, I understand the plight of those who encounter barriers when considering the transition to college. With my education background, I also empathize with students who may struggle academically, especially those who do not have a stable support system in place. College provides doors to boundless opportunities, and as a OHIO First Scholars Advocate, I could not only help students acclimate to the college environment, but also celebrate each success with them along the way!
