Research Division invites OHIO faculty, staff to Oct. 7 webinar

The Ohio University Division of Research invites faculty, staff and research support professionals to join an upcoming webinar featuring Sam Gussman-Toh, Emerging Health Innovators (EHI) program manager at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).

This session will provide an overview of ARPA-H’s unique approach to advancing high-risk, high-impact health innovation and introduce EHI, a funding opportunity designed to support early-career researchers pursuing bold, transformative ideas.

Participants will learn about eligibility, key dates, available resources and opportunities to engage with ARPA-H, as well as receive guidance for prospective applicants interested in ARPA-H funding opportunities. The webinar is particularly relevant to those who are, or who work with, early-career researchers and innovators in biomedical research, health, engineering, data science and related fields.

OHIO community members are invited to participate in the event on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Innovation Center (340 W. State St., Athens, OH 45701) Conference Room 103, to learn how emerging innovators can contribute to solving some of the most pressing challenges in health and medicine and gain insights directly from an ARPA-H program leader.
