OHIO employees encouraged to learn more about mental health issues, resources

World Mental Health Day is a global opportunity to raise awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma and inspire action that supports mental wellbeing for all.

World Mental Health Day will be recognized this year on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, with the theme of "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change." The day is a reminder for all  of us that mental wellbeing is not just a personal journey; it is a collective effort.

At Ohio University, we are committed to fostering a culture where every team member feels supported, seen, and empowered to care for their mental health. We encourage employees to show up with kindness for one another and be a listening ear for anyone you sense struggling; it could make all the difference.
