Upcoming traffic impacts, road closures

Ohio University students, faculty, staff and community members should be aware of upcoming road closures, detours and other traffic restrictions due to summer construction projects.

Ohio University and the city of Athens are providing information on the upcoming road closure locations, estimated closure dates and designated detour routes. While some projects will require full roadway closures, others may involve restricted traffic patterns, lane reductions or flagging operations to support ongoing work activities.

Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to plan additional travel time, follow posted detour signage and use caution when traveling through active work zones.
