WellWorks facility, programming to transition to Well-Being and Recreation

Ohio University has announced that Well-Being and Recreation will assume management of the WellWorks facility in Grover Center to better support the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance and expand wellness services for all OHIO employees and community members.

The transition follows several months of evaluation of employee wellness programs, including feedback gathered through a recent member survey, which helped inform opportunities to strengthen services and ensure they meet the evolving needs of current and future WellWorks members.

Strengthening programming, continuing student experiential learning

In addition to enabling WellWorks to more effectively integrate with current and future wellness initiatives and programming across all OHIO campuses, the facility will continue to maintain a close partnership with the College of Health Sciences and Professions and provide valuable experiential learning opportunities for students.

Further reviews of WellWorks’ wellness offerings, including its hours of operation and programming, will continue into 2027. Well-Being and Recreation also plans to introduce new WellWorks initiatives and refine existing services that will enhance accessibility and effectiveness for employees across all campuses and centers.

Further growing and supporting employee well-being

Moving forward, OHIO remains committed to supporting employee well-being and will share updates as plans evolve. For current WellWorks hours of operation, summer hours and membership information, visit ohio.edu/wellworks.
