Student organization hosts Nowruz celebration for OHIO community

The Central Asian Student Union (CASU) at Ohio University held a special community celebration recently and invites all students to learn more about the organization.

On March 21, CASU hosted a Nowruz event for the OHIO community. The day is an traditional holiday celebrating the Spring Equinox and the beginning of the new year in several Central Asian countries.

During the event, the CASU members gathered with its community of friends to uphold the tradition of Nowruz celebration through the preparation and sharing of the traditional food and playing active outdoor games. Open to everyone, the Ohio University celebration observed this tradition as community members brought Central Asian dishes and enjoyed quizzes and games together with the guests.
