Ohio University Libraries offers new resource for studying, research support
Need help with course materials, studying for finals, or research support?
Ohio University Libraries encourages students, faculty and staff to try LibKey Nomad, a free browser extension that provides one-click access to full-text articles.
With LibKey Nomad, navigating scholarly content becomes faster and easier. The extension automatically detects when an article is available through Ohio University Libraries and provides direct links to PDFs or full-text versions, removing boundaries like paywalls. Once installed, LibKey Nomad connects to your OHIO email, making it quick and easy to start using.
“By simplifying navigation, LibKey helps students, faculty, and researchers move quickly from discovery to reading, improving the overall research experience and increasing use of library resources,” said Hanna Schmillen, assistant dean for research and education services and subject librarian for health sciences.
LibKey Nomad works across major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Vivaldi.
Getting started takes less than a minute: visit LibKeyNomad.com, choose your browser, and select Ohio University from the drop-down menu.
Ohio University Libraries encourages the OHIO community to explore how LibKey Nomad can streamline academic work during finals season and beyond. For more information, visit the Libraries’ FAQ or reach out to a subject librarian.
