University community invited to 43rd Annual Leadership Awards

The Ohio University community is invited to the 43rd Annual Leadership Awards on April 8, 2026, in the Baker University Center Ballroom.

This event celebrates the leadership, service and impact of our students and student organizations. With nearly 30 awards across a range of categories, we recognize both individual leaders and the collective achievements that strengthen our campus community.

The evening will begin with a networking reception hosted by the Alumni Association at 6 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 7 p.m. All members of the OHIO community, along with friends and family, are welcome to attend. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening.

Established in 1984, the Annual Leadership Awards shine a spotlight on the exceptional leaders within OHIO. The event has grown over the years as new awards and scholarships have been established to those who have made an impact on the University community as well as the student leaders that follow in their path.

This year, a record-breaking number of applications were submitted. Selection committees reviewed hundreds of stories and achievements from students and student organizations. The students receiving awards on April 8 represent a passionate cohort of Bobcats dedicated to carrying forth the values set down by their forbears, many of whom awards are named after, like Margaret Boyd, Martha Jane Hunley Blackburn, Donald A. Spencer, and Roderick McDavis.

Join us in honoring the remarkable contributions of our student leaders who embody the spirit and values of Ohio University. RSVP to either join in person or receive the link to join virtually. This event is free and open to all.
