New online reservation system for Event Services

Ohio University Event Services is transitioning to new online booking software for reserving venues across campus.

The existing platform, Virtual EMS, will be phased out by March 6. A new system, Mazévo, is already being implemented. 

Existing reservations through next fall are being migrated to the new system. Users are also being migrated, but they will have to log in to the new system with their OHIO credentials by March 6 if they want access for opening day. 

Ohio University departmental faculty, staff and approved members of student organizations may reserve spaces through Mazévo. The reservation portal is not available to external customers. 

To request access to the new system, Mazévo, log in with your OHIO ID and password. Once in the system, you will need to select your University department from the drop-down options. For any students who have permission to reserve on behalf of a student organization, please request access and Event Services will approve for each organization. Only faculty and full-time staff will be granted access to request spaces for University departments. Students are no longer able to request spaces on behalf of University departments.

Opening day for reservation bookings

Reservation bookings for Fall Semester 2026 spaces will open on Wednesday, March 18, at 9 a.m. 

Beginning on March 18, OHIO student organizations and departments will be allowed to make reservations for Aug. 10, 2026, through Dec. 23, 2026, at the following venues on the Athens Campus:

  • Baker University Center
  • Walter Rotunda
  • Galbreath Chapel
  • Outdoor spaces

Bookings for Spring and Summer Semester 2027 will be open for requests on Sept. 16, 2026. 

Student organizations

Organization presidents and one vice president will have access to request spaces on Opening Day. Please update your access prior to March 6 and make sure your organization’s information is up to date in BobcatConnect.

Before requesting space, be sure to have all request information ready, such as date, time, space, size and account information.
