Free mediation training for OHIO students, faculty, staff

Athens Area Mediation Service is offering free mediation training to all Ohio University students, faculty and staff.

The Fundamentals of Mediation training series will be held on Mondays at Ohio University Baker Center 239 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on March 2, 16, 23, 30 and April 6. (The training will not be held on the Monday during OHIO’s spring break).

Mediation is a structured, informal, voluntary process in which a neutral third party facilitates a conversation between people who are experiencing some kind of conflict. The skills developed in this training can be applied both in a traditional mediation setting or can help with any situation in which individuals must navigate conflict.

While the training is free to all OHIO students, faculty and staff, there is a charge of $200 for those not affiliated with Ohio University.
