OHIO community reminded to be aware of phishing emails
Phishing is when internet attackers impersonate someone or something you know to get you to disclose sensitive information, such as your password or credit card details.
While not every unsolicited email is a phishing attack, these emails should be inspected for other suspicious elements that may help you identify if they are legitimate or not.
The Ohio University Office of Information Security has put together information for students, faculty and staff to learn more about phishing emails and how to identify them.
You can learn more about how to identify phishing emails and stay safe here.
