Conference and Event Services to open reservation books for fall semester on March 29
Ohio University Conference and Event Services will open its reservation books for Fall Semester 2023 on Wednesday, March 29 at 9 a.m.
This will allow OHIO student organizations and departments to make reservations for Aug. 7, 2023, through Dec. 17, 2023, at the following venues on the Athens Campus:
- Baker University Center
- Galbreath Chapel
- Nelson Commons
- Outdoor spaces
- Walter Rotunda
Spring Semester 2023 will be open for bookings on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023.
OHIO’s Virtual Event Management System (Virtual EMS)
On opening day, event space is requested through OHIO’s Virtual EMS reservation system. Before reserving space, it is imperative to ensure your department is correctly registered and that staff have the correct access to reserve spaces. Questions specific to EMS accounts, the EMS Webapp, or staff access to EMS accounts should be directed to the Office of Information Technology via the Technology Help Center.
When the reservation books are open, you can then log onto Virtual EMS to book your events at this website.

Be sure to have all event request information ready, such as: date, time, space, number of attendees, and event name.
If you have multiple event requests to make, be sure to plan ahead. You may want to assign specific events to different members of your team to request in EMS on opening day.
